Methods and tools for event oriented web-based manufacturing planning and supply chain management systems development (e-manufacturing)

The objective of the project is to develop systems for production planning for a SC of low-volume production in-make–to-order environment. The challenge is to establish a generic techniques, transferable across enterprises, to balance customers’ demands for shorter lead times, smaller batches and lower costs with the need to understand the true capacity of the plant and so find ways to make it more efficient. The focus is on developing web-based e-manufacturing systems for SME, which has a simple architecture and which include large sensor-monitoring-analyzing systems and databases.
